Kristy was born and raised in Sacramento and attended C.K. McClatchy High School where she was on the swimming and diving teams, marching band, and became a flight commander her sophomore year for the Air Force Junior ROTC. After high school she moved to Provo, UT and attended The American Institute of Medical/Dental Technology to receive a license in dental assisting. She then moved back to the Sacramento area and attended American River College to complete her pre-requisites for dental hygiene school. After receiving an A.A. and A.S. degree with honors she graduated from San Juaquin Valley College in Visalia, CA in 2004 and received her RDH license.
Kristy was the president of her class in hygiene school and also served in the community educating children and adults about the importance of oral hygiene. In 2008 Kristy and her husband Dr. Routsong traveled at their own expense to Peru and Ecuador and provided free charitable dentistry for local natives. She has also participated in the annual Smiles for Kids event as a service project to provide for the dental needs of children in the community.
Kristy and Dr. Routsong have 3 Boys, Carson, Luke and Lincoln. She loves spending time with her family and being active with them. Some of her hobbies include playing the piano and organ, running, swimming, and cycling. She completed the CIM marathon in 2005 and also enjoys competing in the sport of triathlon.
